There are 22 individual types of funnels that Russell Brunson has used within his own businesses and he provides all of these as templates for you to use for your own business.
The different types of funnels fall into 3 main categories:
- Lead Capture Funnels
- Sales Page Funnels
- Event Funnels
Within each of these types you will find the perfect Funnel for your business, like webinar funnels, membership funnels and more.
One of the most common and effective types of Funnels is a Squeeze Page Funnel that are used to capture a visitors email address and then forward them automatically to a Thank You page once they have signed up.
Using and understanding effective Squeeze Page Funnels is enough to transform a business and worth the cost of ClickFunnels alone.
There are specific product sales funnels like the 2 Step Tripwire Funnel which sells or gives away a low front end product (the tripwire) and then upsells the customer other products and leads them through the Value Ladder to your most expensive products and services.
For me, learning the Order Form Bump (I first saw this when I purchased DotCom Secrets) has transformed my initial order pages and has meant that my advertising costs are now zero or better.
Within the ClickFunnels dashboard you have a ton of free templates and templates that you can pay for. If you have no creative flair, ClickFunnels will take care of you and allows you to just choose the designs and styles that suit exactly what you want for you business.
How Easy It Is To Create A Funnel
From the ClickFunnels Dashboard:
- Choose ClickFunnels from Menu Bar
- Choose Build Funnel
- Decide on Funnel Type
- Select A Funnel Template
- Customise The Pages FOr Style
- Add Your Products, Add Email and Payment Details
- Set A Domain Name or Sub Domain For The Funnel
- Save Your Funnel
That is it! All you need to do now is start sending traffic to it and making sales.
Drag and Drop Editor
The What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) Editor is incredibly easy to use and comes with a load of easy to follow training is you are new to drag and drop website editors.
You use this to make each page in your Sales Funnel unique to you, your business and your brand.
Each page is broken down into sections and within the sections they have rows and columns.
All you need to do is add different elements to the rows and columns using your mouse. It is so simple to use and understand, even if you are completely new to website and Sales Funnel design.
Using the ClickFunnels drag and drop editor you can create any design that you want.
You can make amendments and changes on the page where you are or use the fly out side bar to make the amendments.
Everything is placed out logically and makes sense (I have been building websites for a long time and some are very difficult to use and understand). ClickFunnels is not, it is one of the most simple editors I have used and will save you a huge amount of time.
At no point during the design process of a Funnel Page do you need to know any type of coding, so there is no need to understand or get help with HTML or CSS.
ClickFunnels Page Elements
The drag and drop editor within ClickFunnels give you a wide range of elements that you can use within your Sales Funnels, anything that you have seen in other sales funnels you will be able to use within ClickFunnels and your own Sales Funnels.
It has all the basic elements like :
- Headline
- Image
- Text
- Button
- Links
- Email Input Forms
- Videos
These are enough for most Sales Funnels but it also includes advanced elements like:
- SMS Signup
- Surveys
- Pricing Tables
- Progress Bars
- Facebook Comments
- FAQ Blocks
- Countdown Timers
- Custom HTML
- Membership
- Order Forms
- Shipping Forms
Each element within the design can be customised simply and allows you to create any type of design for your Sales Funnels that you can imagine.
You can also set videos and images up so that if a visitors clicks on them they will transfer direct to your offers or other parts of your website.
ClickFunnels Affiliate Program
In my opinion, ClickFunnels provides the best affiliate marketing program that you can join online.
You can create a passive income from the ClickFunnels Affiliate Program that can make more than your actual business and best of all, it is recurring income.
The ClickFunnels Affiliate Program pays a recurring 40% commission for every client you send to them who becomes a ClickFunnels Member.
When you reach 100 referrals you will also receive $500 a month towards your dream car.
Any of your referrals, who then provide their own leads means that ClickFunnels pays you a 2 Tier Commission of 5%.
Any additional programs or training that you promote from ClickFunnels like DotCom Secrets, Experts Secrets and the Funnel Hackers Cookbook you will get 40% commission as well.
The beauty of promoting the books is that they are fantastic and will generally lead to the reader signing up to ClickFunnels (like I did), because of the Sticky Cookie, you will get the credit and commission for that customer who joined ClickFunnels.
The Sticky Cookie also means that as they purchase other products and training you will get paid for those because you were the person who introduced them to ClickFunnels.
One of the most effective marketing strategies within ClickFunnels is the ability to share you Sales Funnels. Once you have created a Funnel you can go into the settings tab of the funnel and get a Share Funnel URL.
You can then give this away to people, when they sign up to ClickFunnels to use the Sales Funnel you gave them it is added to their account.
The Share Funnel you send out contains your affiliate link so you will receive the recurring commission when the user stays on with ClickFunnels.
This is a great way to drive new visitors and referrals to ClickFunnels.
As I said at the start of this section, ClickFunnels is the best Affiliate Program available.

Worst Parts Of ClickFunnels
I find it very hard to criticise ClickFunnels because I love it, but there are a few things I would like to see changed.
Limit On Number Of Funnels
Sadly, in the standard membership package, you are limited to 20 Funnels, 100 Pages and 20,000 visitors.
Personally, I think this is unfair but will generally not effect a majority of business owners or those new to ClickFunnels.
If you are just building Sales Funnels for your self then these limits will probably not effect you in anyway.
If you are building for clients because you are an Agency then you will need to upgrade to the highest package, The Etison Suite.
Learning Curve
If you are completely new to internet marketing and website design you will have a lot of study and learning to do.
This is not a negative on ClickFunnels because you will have to do this with any software program if you are new to this type of marketing.
However, there is a fantastic Funnel Hackers Community out there and a huge library of information to help you, plus there is a great support system in place.
Generally, if you do get stuck you can type into Google or YouTube for the answer and you will find what you are looking for.
Do not let the technology put you off of using and learning ClickFunnels, it is intuitive and you will succeed with it. Follow all the training and you will be successful.
Once you have built your first few Sales Funnels you will get the hang of it and become faster and faster.
ClickFunnels Pricing Plan 2019
The ClickFunnels Pricing Plan in my opinion is very reasonable for what you get and if you use the ClickFunnels Affiliate Program it will pay for itself.
As of writing this ClickFunnels Review 2019 the Pricing Plan is:
$97 a month.
On this plan you get full access to the Sales Funnel Creation Tools but are limited to creating 20 Sales Funnels, 100 Pages and 20,000 Visitors.
You DO NOT get access to Actionetics (the ClickFunnels Email Service Provider) or Backpack (Affiliate Program Management System).
To access ClickFunnels Actionetics and Backpack you need to upgrade to the Etison Suite Plan. This includes everything plus unlimited funnels, pages and visitors. The cost for access to the Etison Suite is $297 a month.
However, if you introduce just 8 people to ClickFunnels who purchase the $97 program it would cover your cost for the Etison Suite.
If you can afford it I would recommend purchasing Funnel Builder Secrets for $2,997 which will give you 12 months access to the Etison Suite plus loads of additional training and products.
You can check out ClickFunnels by using the 14 day Free Trial. This gives you full access to the Etison Suite of products and the chance to complete all the training you need before you fully commit to ClickFunnels.
If you think that $97 or $297 a month is too much of a commitment then you can use a secret and unadvertised Share Funnel Plan that is just $19 a month.
This allows you to create 3 Funnels and 10 pages but it does allow you to use ClickFunnels.
You can only access it by signing up for the 14 day free trial and then downgrading your account to ‘Limited Share Funnels Only’.

ClickFunnels Support
I have been impressed with the support provided by ClickFunnels. It is email based, but before you can send a support email they will attempt to provide you the answer via their huge library of articles and FAQ’s.
A majority of issues will be solved here. If you do send an email then generally, if it is within working hours someone will get back to you fast with an answer.
You can always get help from the official Facebook Group where you can post your question to other ClickFunnels members and someone will normally have encountered a similar issue and have an answer for you.
Do I need a Domain Name?
No, you do not need your own domain name to get your Sales Funnels online, however, they will pay for your Domain Name for you for the first year and pay for Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate.
If you want to use a ClickFunnels Domain for your Funnels it will look like this: https://username.clickfunnels.com
Other Help And Support
ClickFunnels has a huge worldwide community of highly engaged and active users, known as Funnel Hackers. There is an Official ClickFunnels Facebook Group and also the ClickFunnels Avengers Group (Affiliates).

For taking payments ClickFunnels can be linked to Stripe, Paypal, Clickbank, Infusionsoft and Authorize.net.
I would recommend Stripe because Paypal has a few limitations to it like One Click Upsells and One Time Offers.
What is Funnel Builder Secrets?
If you are looking to get the Etison Suite Plan then I would recommend signing up to Funnel Builder Secrets so that you get it cheaper. Funnel Builder Secrets costs $2,997, if you pay for 12 months of the Etison Suite it will cost $3,564.

I have used a lot of other software, some cheaper and some more expensive but in my opinion ClickFunnels is the best.
If you are selling standalone products, with a little bit of though you could upsell your customers and make your advertising costs $0 by using the methods taught in ClickFunnels.
Even using it to collect leads from potential clients is worth the cost of the membership. Increasing the lifetime value of your customers is the way forward in internet marketing and ClickFunnels is the software you need to do it.
